As you consider pledging, recall what you generally gave over the course of the past year and what you are able to give this year. We understand that you are giving to any number of charities besides our parish. Indeed, it has been our experience that most people give as much as ten percent of their income to charities at large (tithing).  Therefore, we ask that you consider giving five percent or half of your charitable contributions to your parish.

You should not give till it hurts, but give till it feels good!

Each must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  You will be enriched in every way for your great  generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us; for the rendering of his ministry not only supplies the needs of his saints but also overflows with many thanksgiving to God.
