Outreach Committees
Mission -
Our Parish Outreach Program is made up of individual committees, each of which is filled with many loving and caring volunteers of the parish! Because of the efforts of all these people the needy, poor, sick, dying, elderly, shut-ins and the lonely of our community have their spiritual and physical needs met.If you have always felt that you wanted to do something, but weren't sure where to give your time and talents, the Outreach Program will have something for you! Please call the appropriate Chairperson to join the committee of your choice.
CORRESPONDENCE - Notes and cards are sent to members of the community who need our support. This committee makes it possible to keep in touch with our people, whether in times of sickness, joy or sorrow.

EMERGENCY MEALS - This group of volunteers makes and delivers meals for families in crisis and for people in need.

NURSING HOME LITURGY - Mass is celebrated at the Oceanside Center on the first Monday of each month. Every third Thursday, Sisters Theresa and Doris offer a Worship Service during which Communion is distributed to the residents.

NURSING HOME PARTIES - A party is held on the second Saturday of each month at 2:15 P.M. at the Oceanside Center for all the residents. Birthdays are celebrated with singing, cake and presents. Our volunteers help make the residents feel loved and remembered during their special month.

NURSING HOME VISITS - Volunteers visit the Oceanside Center on a regular basis to bring love and comfort to the residents.

OUTREACH CENTER - Volunteers staff the center Monday through Friday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. and from 1:30 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Duties include answering the telephone, making calls, scheduling rides for our shut-ins. The volunteers also make favors for our Meals-on-Wheels recipients and for the shut-ins.

PRAYER - This group prays for members of our community who are in need. It may be in your own way and on your own time or with others.

SACRISTANS - The lovely decorating of our churches is done by this committee. They are responsible for the weekly and seasonal decorations. They help make our churches beautiful places in which to worship. They also help to keep our Church clean. A schedule is pre-arranged, by the Chairperson, as to when each one's turn comes for whatever needs to be done.

STEPHEN MINISTRY - The members of Stephen Ministry train to bring the Corporal and Spiritual works of mercy to parishioners in need and others within the Community. They bring sunshine to the lives of the sick, shut-ins and anyone in need.

TRANSPORTATION - Members of our parish transport people of our community to doctor's and dentist's appointments. There is a great need for drivers, especially during the day.
