Confirmation I
Confirmation Classes are held on Sundays from 4:45-6:45 pm in the OLMM Church Hall.
We also encourage students to attend the 7 pm Mass as part of their formation experience and be involved in a ministry. Additionally, we also like to encourage students to attend some of the Youth Festivals, Activities, and Retreats that are offered periodically in the area/parish to enhance their spiritual formation. These social opportunities are wonderful ways to affirm their faith by interacting with other teenagers who are also committing their lives to Christ.
In accordance with the requirements of the Diocese of Manchester, the Sacrament of Confirmation is a 2 year program beginning in the 9th grade. Students must also be a minimum age of 16 to be confirmed.

Confirmation Components
- Attendance on all designated nights
- Weekly attendance at Mass
- 1 Retreat / Extended Spiritual Experience (once during the two-year program )
- Sponsor/Candidate Reading Assignment and Evening (Year II only)
- **All Sponsor Sheets and Saint Names in as soon as possible**
- *Parents Meetings (1 per year)
- 1 organized Service activity or Ministry - (ongoing is encouraged to develop conscious service to others)
*The Parents’ Meetings are designed to assist parents in enriching their theological understanding about the Sacrament of Confirmation, who the Holy Spirit is, the gifts Sacrament we receive at Confirmation and the mission of discipleship for all Christians. Hopefully, it will also spawn some family discussion. As your faith and understanding deepens, so will your childrens.
