Please join us as we lift our hearts and prayers gratefully to the Lord for our priests! Here at OLMM, the Rosary for Priests is prayed every Tuesday in the church at 9:30am (immediately following the 9:00 AM Mass.)
How grateful we are for our priests who bring us to Jesus and Jesus to us each day! At the close of the 2010 Year for Priests, Pope Benedict XVI said, “The priest is a gift from the Heart of Christ: a gift for the Church and for the world.” Father John Hardon expanded on this truth when he said, “Without the priesthood, there cannot be the Eucharist. Without the Eucharist, there would be no sacrifice of the Mass, no Holy Communion, no Real Presence of Jesus Christ on earth where He continues His work of salvation in the world.”
There are many ways the lay faithful can spiritually support priests. Kathleen Bickman, author of the book PRAYING FOR PRIESTS: A MISSION FOR THE NEW EVANGELIZATION, suggests offering one’s Holy Communion for priests, offering a Eucharistic Holy Hour for priestly virtue, and praying the Holy Rosary for priests, which can be done with us every Tuesday morning at 9:30. Please come!
